Artes Vitae

One recipe for happiness: the secret is out.

It was standing room only last night at the Prospective Parent Night. The more we learn about our children, the better we want to do for them.

Schooling used to mainly be about creating productive workers -- a skilled workforce raises the societal boat on the same rising tide. However, we envision greater things for our children these days.

We recognize that fulfillment goes beyond a steady job throughout your adult years. Our good relationships to others, our sense of purpose, and our ability to make good choices determine our daily and lifelong happiness even more than a 'good job' does.

(They probably also determine our success in finding that good job.)
The skills required for these things can be taught and learned just as much as those for reading and figuring.

An education that focuses on ALL human needs at an early age equips students with skills for life. Montessori's humanist methods were developed for just that purpose.

When it comes to our children, we go to great lengths to give them the moon. We wish for them success, joy, and love. We wish for them to contribute important work, and to own their position in their world.

Well, you're here, which is a great place to start, because we wish those things for them, too. Hopefully, together, our lofty wishes and hard work will mean great things for all of us. Thanks for being here.

And, as always, thank you for reading.
Bits & Bobs
Current families will commit to enrollment intentions next year during conferences this week.

Sibling enrollment applications are also available for
new siblings entering Kindergarten.

March 9th is the last day to purchase tickets for our Spring for Education Auction! Silent auction, live auction, live music, and on-site childcare are just the starters. Come find out what the fuss is about, just buy a ticket already!

Don't forget: Some money is FREE.
March 10, 10am-4pm, it's the Gresham Ford Drive 4 UR School fundraiser.  We can raise up to $8,000 for our school if 300 friends, family and community members complete a 10 minute test drive for Lewis & Clark Montessori.

We are grateful to the many enthusiastic families who showed up to our Prospective Parent Night on Tuesday. This evening gets larger every year and is full of insight, information, and important questions. Thank you to everyone who supports this community with your care, and for the welcome our incoming families receive.

enrollment and lottery questions to Mishawn:
