Artes Vitae

Let's start with 'Thank You'

To the stalwart few who gave months of their time planning, creating, and organizing our auction: Thank You.

To the 160 community members who showed support by showing up and stepping out: Thank You.

To our event donors, Columbia Bank, the LCMCS PTO, Chris Olsen & Jill Rowland from Damascus Realtors, and Tax Minimizers of Oregon: Thank You.

To the World Forestry Center, for their gracious hospitality and beautiful space: Thank You.

That much beauty is only possible with the work of many, and those who were able to attend our 10th Annual Spring for Education Auction last Saturday got to take part in something truly special. Thank you all!
Make sure to check out some lovely event photos from JStoryImages below.

If you were unable to attend, dry your tears, you can still participate! Check out these spaces available for the following Staff Experiences:

  • All School Sleepover, $60
  • Disc Golf Outing, $40
  • Game Day of Dungeons and Dragons, $50
  • Journey Through Time in the Gorge, $40
  • Game Night with Peter Jensen $30
  • Private Tour of Tsuru Island in Gresham City Park, $30

Email Mishawn mnelson@lcmcs.org  if you would like to nab a spot.

You can pay on our website through “Miscellaneous fees” (be sure to put your child’s name and Staff Experience), or by check at the front desk.

And, as always, thank you for reading.

Alerts:
Buses:
  • Effective immediately, we will only offer (1) Kmart bus and (1) Springwater bus for the morning trip to school. Afternoon dismissal will continue to have (2) Kmart buses and (1) Springwater bus.

  • The 4:45 Afternoon Activity Bus schedule will ONLY run Monday-Thursday.  There will be NO 4:45 bus available on Fridays. Both changes are due to low ridership and an effort to reduce costs.

Health:
  • Please be aware that we have had a few reported cases of lice. Please do a head check on your children and treat them thoroughly before returning them to school! If you are a first-timer, or you just need a refresher, here is the Lice Low-Down. Hint: be vigilant and show no mercy.

  • There are a couple virulent flu viruses going around.  If you notice your child coming down with something, please help the health of our whole community by keeping them home until they are well. Disease can spread quickly in even the most careful school environment, and prevention is truly the best cure! Red flags include vomiting and fever, and it is our policy to keep children home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours.
